About
What is “delish megish?”
It doesn’t happen often but when it does, you never forget it. It’s that feeling you get when you take a hearty bite, an excited slurp or a tentative sip. It can only be articulated by the two words that explode in your head: Delish. Megish.
It’s rare that we find foods or drinks that reach beyond tantalizing our tastebuds and touch us at our very core, that whisk us away to another place, or even evoke a childhood memory.
This site is dedicated to that exact feeling. I’ll document every culinary discovery, every recipe that holds a special meaning to me. Every meal, every drink that makes me smile and say, “That is delish megish.”

Prior to enrolling in culinary school, most of the things she knew about the art of cuisine came from being raised by a wonderful mother who made dinner almost every night, picking the brain of her cousin who is a professional chef, spending several hours daily watching most Food Network shows (particularly Giada At Home, Chopped, 30 Minute Meals, and Good Eats), and just loving food and everything about it.
Amanda’s influences are Giada De Laurentiis, Amy Sedaris, Martha Stewart and her own mom. She loves whiskey, cured meats and stinky cheeses, and ashamedly admits to eating cookies for breakfast. You can follow her on Twitter at @amandanat and get more megish updates at @delishmegish.

The site looks great, Amanda! The recipes and tips look great, especially since I’ve been thinking about upping my cooking game recently. Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks, Andrew, that’s so nice of you! If you get to trying out some of the recipes, I’d love to hear how they turn out! And if you have any special requests, I’m sure I can do some research (and a post!) for you.
